I ordered delivery. Their cheese empanada was great. Full of melty cheese with a satisfying, crispy shell. The portion size of the chips and guacamole was a little small, but it was tasty. I loved their rice and beans. Both were on the softer side, but had nice, full flavor. Also enjoyed the mushroom taco. They were generous with the toppings and the mushrooms were well-prepared. I liked the nopale tacos a bit less, as the cactus did not taste as fresh.

Always consistently good. Tacos are nice and flavorful with good portions. BIRRIA is my favorite. They also have lots of snacks in this location. Sometimes it can be a wait, but it's worth it

Wow! A co-worker just gave me a birria taco and it was so yummy. I will definitely be going to get my own order very soon!

Very lucky to have Nene's within walking distance. The service there is quick and efficient and the prices are reasonable. I just recently had the birria burrito and it was phenomenal. The meat was tender and flavorful and I love the salsas that accompany it. This isn't a full sized restaurant. There's counter seating and a few scattered tables. This place should definitely be in your rotation.

Really cool spot Clean and the staff was nice Food is well price and just tasty Over all from the food the vibe would recommend! Now if the tacos were a little cheaper I'd be eating a lot more still going back tho

Food: THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Plain and SIMPLE. The Birria here is AMAZING. Sometimes it can be hard finding good fresh and generous amounts of Birria places, and THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM. Freshness and generous meat portions for sure. For the price, you can't beat it! Service: Service is great! Respectful, and quick. Can't ask for much more. Ambiance: this location specifically doesn't have a huge or super pretty ambiance. But it is CLEAN. And it's super cute and culturally correct. I have been to Mexico many times for long periods, and it hits right on the nail. And they have a little market with Mexican drinks and snacks. Makes it extremely worth it and more!

Man I love this place. Good no-frills spot for some GREAT tacos. Birria is my fave, but all the meats are tender and juicy, every single time so you can't go wrong. Agua de Jamaica is very good so I highly recommend with your tacos. Service is usually quick but if you are waiting a bit just know it's very well worth it.

No frills and pretense here. Great tacos , average to long wait even if you don't see any other customers ( they are slammed with online and delivery orders) This is the original location, my favorite. I had tacos at the Park Slope one too. Food is consistent but I like the atmosphere here especially in the summer . Loud music blasting, Mexican groceries (snacks ,got sauces, drinks etc) This location gives old Brooklyn neighborhood corner store meets Mexican village shop vibes . Full of transplants of course lol. Food is good and fresh. Flavors on point. There are tables out front in the summer and now that it's cold the store front is enclosed and there is still seating. A small counter with high stools indie the shoshop as well. I usually order and eat in the car if no seats available. I will never take a taco far away from it's birthplace and sacrifice the quality lol. Besides, how else will I torture my hubby if the car didn't reek of onions and cilantro lol. Parking is also difficult around this area so be prepared to go on a small hike if you find street arking a couple or 8 blocks away. Oh ,there's a school across the street so be aware of traffic congestion on this street during dismissal time. Vegetarian options available- mushroom and nopales. My hubby likes the Birria Ramen ,I stick to the tacos- birria and al pastor. The consomè hahas such depth. I load up on Mexican Coke and snack and palettas.

One of my friends has been raving about the Birra ramen here! Since I've been feeling under the weather, today was the perfect time to try it. I ordered the Birria Ramen off of Uber Eats and I asked for extra noodles on the side. When it arrived, it was wrapped up, with some slight slippage. Unfortunately, my extra noodles weren't honored. Now onto the taste, it tastes as good as it looks. I had to save the taste and slow down at times because it was so good. The only reason why I stopped eating it was because I didn't have enough noodles. There was a gracious amount of meat and broth left over. In all, I would order this again! Please try to incorporate an extra noodles option if possible !

There's birria, and there's BIRRIA. My boyfriend and I swung by for a quick dinner and ordered two birria tacos, two al pastor tacos, one birria empanada and one cup of consommé. The birria tacos and empanada were both unbelievably good. Prob my favorite consommé I've tried, too. Al pastor was serviceable but you can skip that. They have limited counter seating, so maybe don't bring 5 friends. Nenes is god tier. Will be dreaming about this.
